Endocrine system and pharmacotherapy is designed to provide the students with an exposure to endocrine pharmacology, with a major emphasis on the feedback mechanisms within the endocrine system that are responsible for the maintenance of normal endocrine function as well as the interventions necessary to correct disorders stemming from hormonal imbalances.  Emphasis is also placed on the hormone therapy in treating endocrine disorders and still maintaining essential hormonal and metabolic feedback relationships.

This course is specifically designed for the students requiring comprehensive, clear and accurate knowledge and understanding about the cosmetic preparations includes Skin-care products, Hair-care products, Make-up preparations, Deodorants and antiperspirants, Baby Products, Dental Products and the types and classification of perfumes. Practical include some of the preparation of cosmetic products.

The development of veterinary care from the early years to modern intensive farming.  Animal diseases in relation to the economics and human health.  Epidemiological knowledge in disease control programme.  Special formulation and delivery system for intensive farming animal common diseases of farm animals and pets. This unit emphasizes on the Pathophysiology of common diseases in cattle, pets, and aquatics. The unit describes the drugs and dosage forms for veterinary health care along with their marketing and related legislation. 

This unit is aimed to describe the basics of economics and its applications in pharmacy.  The unit descries the theories related to economics, Malaysian health care system policies and management and regulations and an overview of international pharmaceutical developments and regulation , and  international pharmaceutical benefits schemes, reimbursement and pricing.

Topics covered in lectures include therapeutics and it’s applications in pharmaceutical care for the diseases of nervous system, gastrointestinal system, cardiovascular system, metabolic and endocrine system respiratory system and diseases of the blood.

This module will enable the learner to understand the concepts of evidence-based medicine and the sources and literature and collect the appropriate information of drug. The learners will be able to understand the importance of patient education and counselling to improve the outcomes of therapy by enhancing the patient compliance.

This course introduces the students to the details both the quantitative and the qualitative research methods. Students are required to develop a research proposal in the form of a small research study into a health or pharmacy-related issue. The selection, development and implementation of each student project are carried out in consultation with a specified academic supervisor. The students are required to comprehensively review the literature, develop a research design and prepare a research proposal.
